Below are the steps that you should follow to pay your bill through eSewa.
- First and the basic thing is, you must have your eSewa account ready. You can create an account using your mobile number.
Now login to your account using your login credentials (username & password). Esewa has their own mobile app also.
- Of course, you need to have some balance in your eSewa account. If you don’t, you can top-up your eSewa account through on of your bank account, or you can ask your friend to send you some.
You can see the Electricity bill payment section in the homepage of the eSewa. You can pay your electricity bill simply by clicking the icon.
- Now you need to select the NEA counter for the payment of your electricity bills.
The form appears and you need to fill up the form with the details it asks for. Details like SC No (xxx.xx.xxx), Customer ID, Customer Name, Address, Present Reading, Previous reading, Year & Month of the bill and the amount.
Things to remember
eSewa are responsible for the payment problem and the cases of disputes or disagreement. They will validate and solve the issue. The payment is available after 10:00 AM to 12 AM – midnight. eSewa says that they will refund the amount if any error in the details or the bill not posted in NEA or amount insufficient. From June 2, 2017, eSewa do not charge any amount for the bill payment (They used to charge Rs 15 per bill payment before.)
